This weekend we had the pleasure of hosting Nelson and Hillary of @invertedgearacademy. They provided us with a two hour workshop on octopus guard and some rolls afterwards.
What a treat it was for everyone who got to finally meet and train with them. Nelson even came in early and insisted in helping out with our tiny age group kids class and put them through and awesome training session.
Thank you Nelson and Hillary for the amazing time and your continued support of our school and students !

This weekend we had the pleasure of hosting Nelson and Hillary of @invertedgearacademy. They provided us with a two hour workshop on octopus guard and some rolls afterwards.

Last week I also had the joy of promoting Dex to his second rank of Grey belt. This young man since day one has been locked in with each class. His focus allows him to get the most out of each training session and is such a joy to watch this level of discipline at such a young age.

Last week I had the joy of promoting Sophia to the first rank of Grey belt. This young lady always comes in with the biggest smile and watching her joy for the art of jiu jitsu truly lighten my soul. She is as kind as she is fierce !

Yesterday I had the joy to promote both Callie and Kaiya to their second rank in Grey belt.... these two young ladies both have always made such an effort to be a part of the school even when they become busy with other activities....
Coming up in the art with a sibling is truly special as their journeys at times mirror each other`s but most importantly is that they have a built in support system that helps them stay motivated and accountable and it shows with their love of being active and making a big contribution to the academy.
