One of the best things I love about having a school is seeing an individual`s growth. With that being said, im fortunate to have some talented students. Purple belt is where I was allowed to start teaching jiu jitsu and is where I began to develop a deeper understanding of the art. Im super excited about Frankie starting a morning class at the school and am excited about seeing his growth.

Yesterday, I was extremely happy to promote Lisa to Blue Belt. Lisa has worked extremely hard to get this promotion, and I am very proud of her progress. Lisa not only trains but also makes sure her kids stay on the mat as well and has been such a great role model for them. I am also forever grateful to her and her family for making the school the way it is because they were instrumental in making the place look like a top tier environment with the details to the walls, floors, custom benches and other things you I can`t put a price tag on.

Yesterday I was truly happy to be able to promote Michael to his first rank of Grey belt. I had to move Michael up to the bigger kids program because I felt he would thrive in a faster pace environment and boy has he really been getting at it now. This young man reminds me each class what I have taught before and always reminds me of the word play I used to help teach. Most of all i love it how he likes to make sure I know he is wearing the same shirt I wear underneath my gi "like you coach" ❤️

Yesterday, I had the honor of promoting Mike to blue belt. Mike, like some of my other students, started taking jits after seeing his daughter training in jiu-jitsu. Mike is one of the most humble people I know and such an eager learner. The man comes in and works hard and always looks to be an awesome training partner with whoever he trains with. It is such a pleasure watching his growth and how he gives back to the school.
