These three background couldn`t be more different off the mat but are brought together by one common goal: to train, learn, and help each other get better.
That is one of the greatest things about Jiu-Jitsu. Once you step onto the mats, it does not matter where you came from, what you do for a living, or what your life looks like outside the academy. We all struggle together, grow together, and push one another to improve.
The techniques and lessons are important, but one of the greatest benefits of Jiu-Jitsu is the genuine friendships you make along the way. Different journeys, one team, and a shared pursuit of becoming better—both on and off the mats.

I have been waiting to post this until Mike K was able to compete because his competitors did not show up when we went to grappling industries. I could not be prouder of our adults who went out there to compete.
Every one of them stepped outside their comfort zone, tested themselves and represented the school with courage, discipline and heart. Even though we only had 5 competitors we came away with 3 golds and 2 silvers.

Tuesdays at 515pm to 615 pm
Thursday s at 530pm to 630pm
For enrolled Rampart Academy students its $40 a month
For non enrolled students it is $85 a month

I am sure every parent that coaches his kid in a combat sport shares this feeling. The relationship between coach and athlete is so strong when its your daughter out there regardless of her age she is still your little baby girl.
This picture was taken by one of my students while I was coaching my baby girl @selenanina and it completely captures the connection we had at this very moment when she for a second during her match looked at me.
I am certain that what she saw was that love and protection that a father gives his girl when he is with her and super proud of what she is doing. All I hoped was that she saw and felt that and that it helped her in someway overcome whatever she was going through.
Keep working hard and staying humble and reaching for the stars 🌟 ❤️

This past weekend I was so happy to promote Nick to the second rank of Grey belt. This young man is a young athlete that plays other sports all year round but still makes sure to stay on the mats also and stay consistent with his jiu jitsu progress. I`ve seen Nick put in some of the most difficult situations but no matter what he never looses that smile and joy of training. Keep up the good work you do all year round young man !

Last week I was so happy to promote sister and brother Paloma and Isaac to their first rank of Grey belt. Both of these young athletes have been very consistent and wonderful students to have on the mats as they both bring something very special to the school.
What I love most of the school is the awesome relationships that are made there. What I didnt expect to happen and it happens often is how much the kiddos inspire us to do things and I was happy that these two inspired my daughter Selena to compete for the first time and the three of them will forever share that first experience together.
